This data element is used to enter the value (quantity) of the time interval between the end of drug administration and the onset of the adverse reaction/event. Even when other date information is available, this data element is very useful for transmission in cases of very short duration such as anaphylaxis (lasting minutes), or when only approximate dates are known but more detailed information on the time interval is available. When the sender wishes to enter the time interval along with dates, the last day of administration should be counted as day 1 of the interval.
